Story Behind The Traveling Overalls
I was scrolling through comments on a photography group facebook page and saw the comment of another photog mom wanting to do a traveling dress series with little girls. Following up were comments from moms of boys wishing they had a little girl to do a project like this and I thought....why not do one with little boys! So I spoke up and through the interest of others we decided to go for it! I knew I had a some overalls that my now 14 year old used when he was 3, that would be perfect and before I knew it the project took off!
We created a group in FB to collaborate, I collected addresses, we created a schedule and pretty soon (after I had taken my images) the overalls were in a box on their way to the first recipient!
I'm excited to share with you the images captured as these overalls travelled all over the nation, but images from around the Globe. (our friend Milena who lives in Bulgaria used her own overalls since customs doesn't allow the import of used clothing).
